Safe uses and applications of CIO2

Scientific researches proof that the active ingredient in chlorine dioxide is effective on the disinfection, inhibition and prevention of the transmittance of highly infectious diseases like SARS. It prevents the spread of such diseases by cutting of their modes of transmission, which includes contact with surfaces, droplets, aerosols and fecal excreta, etc.

The active ingredient has an inhibition rate of up to 99% against bacteria; it also works well on disinfecting allergens, typhoid fever, hep A, hep B, polio and the HIV virus, etc.

This product’s unique and effective disinfecting and cleaning properties, permeability to actively attack allow its disinfection to cover the target object’s surface area and its surroundings in a 360 degrees manner. Chlorine dioxide is non-toxic and leaves no residue, making it suitable for use in hospitals, restaurants, homes or offices.

Low concentration of chlorine dioxide produces good anti-bacterial effect:

  1. When used for disinfecting and wiping of utensils and equipment, about 50~150ppm.
  2. When used for disinfecting and soaking of utensils and tableware, about 10~50 ppm. Rinse with water after soaking.  Always use gloves and avoid direct skin contact. 

After disinfecting with chlorine dioxide, it is best to clean the items a second time with a clean damp cloth to ensure removal of dead microorganisms. This step prevents other microorganisms from feeding on the dead microorganisms.
